Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information PrepArena ("we") collects when you use preparena.co.in, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and target exam. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google.
- Learning activity: questions you attempt, answers, test scores, mock results, streaks, XP, coins, badges, saved questions, study plans and focus-timer minutes.
- Payment records: the payment ID, amount, date and product. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never receive or store your card, UPI or bank details.
- Technical data: basic information your browser sends, such as device type, and data stored in your browser to keep you logged in and remember settings like the theme.
2. How we use it
- To run your account and save your progress across devices.
- To show leaderboards and mock-test ranks.
- To deliver purchases and handle support requests.
- To keep the Service secure and improve it.
3. What other users can see
Your name, target exam and XP appear on the public leaderboard. For mock tests, other students only see aggregate ranks; nobody else can see your individual answers or marks. Your email address is never shown to other users.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help run the Service:
- Supabase: account and database hosting.
- Netlify: website hosting.
- Razorpay: payment processing.
- Google: only if you choose "Continue with Google".
We may also disclose information if required by law.
5. Storage and security
Data is stored with our hosting providers using industry-standard security, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access rules that let each user read and change only their own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except payment records we must keep for legal and tax reasons.
7. Your choices and rights
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your data by emailing lalbhad948@gmail.com.
- You can log out at any time and clear site data from your browser.
8. Children
Many of our users are school students. If you are under 18, please use the Service with the knowledge of a parent or guardian. A parent can contact us to review or delete their child's data.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version.
